Aluminum roofing is a great and practical way to make terraces even more functional and original, and stable aluminum structures provide reliable protection from changing weather in different seasons.

Terrace roofing - what is worth knowing?

There are several ways to roof a terrace all year round. From a pergola to a slatted roof, depending on the purpose and size of the open space, there are several options for terrace roofing:

- A transparent terrace roof made of glass or plastic with the option of installing sun sails.

- Natural roof made of plants or bamboo mats for shade.

- Roofing made of wood or wood slats, fabric, metal or aluminum.

- Fixed terrace roofing as part of the architecture of the house.

- Adjustable (slat) roofs, which can be controlled at the touch of a button.

However, the most popular are aluminum profiles for terrace roofing. Terrace roofing made of aluminum has several advantages. It is particularly weather-resistant and easy to maintain compared to many wooden canopies. Aluminum is harder and more scratch-resistant than conventional wood, so it provides reliable protection against corrosion. Aluminum patio roofing is also suitable for large open spaces due to its light weight.

Aluminum terrace roofing - advantages.

Aluminum terrace canopy is elegant, durable and requires no additional maintenance. The canopy can be any size, height and width. They include an integrated waterway and drainage pipe. The sides of the covering can be closed and the covering thus transforms into a veranda. The structure can be attached both to the existing terrace surface and to the ground. By choosing the color of the roof profiles, you can match the color of the building walls, roof, window frames or other elements. Most often, aluminum structures for the terrace are powder coated, according to a special aluminum painting technology. Tempered or tempered laminated glass is used for roofing (filler).

Details of fitting profiles

Standard aluminum structures for the terrace are in brown, anthracite-gray and white. You can also choose any color from the Pantone palette. There are usually two types of staining to choose from: standard (smooth coloring) and structural (fine-grained structure).

If you want a more enclosed, less windy or more spacious space, we suggest enclosing one, two or all sides of the roof. You can choose from fixed or sliding segments in frameless or frame (aluminum profiles) with tempered glass. In the offer of many companies we can also find aluminum profiles for terrace roofing with sunshades or specialized solutions of various types, including fireproof structures. Innovative system solutions used in various buildings meet stringent requirements for energy efficiency, comfort and safety.

Types of roofing systems

The optimum choice is a system of uninsulated aluminum profiles designed for interior structures, i.e. glazed partitions, windows and doors. The construction system has a hardware groove in the door profiles. Window panels with PVC hardware groove are also available. Aluminum terrace roofing can be equipped with manual or automatic sliding doors. Most often such a system has a profile depth of 52 mm. You can also choose from a variety of hardware, infills and door structures (flat doors, center notch doors, glass doors, manual and automatic sliding doors, hinged doors, windows and glazed partitions) tailored to individual requirements.

Aluminum beams for the terrace can form a three-chamber system. The structural depth of the frame is 78 mm, and the structural depth of the panel is 86 mm. The system allows the use of a wide range of hardware and is easy to install. It is good if the aluminum profiles for terrace roofing are characterized by exceptional thermal insulation parameters. Such aluminum beams for the terrace are ideal for energy-efficient and passive construction. The depth of the profile is 96 mm for frames and 106 mm for panels. Multi-chamber thermal breaks with a diameter of 62 mm and two-component central seals ensure low thermal conductivity. The glazing range is from 39 to 74 mm.
